I went here with my family while dining was still permitted and we received excellent service. This was was my second time going back and having their Kebapi/Ćevapi which was delicious both times. Second time I had it with their Ajvar, Kajmak and a Shopska Salad on the side! I can't wait to go back! Great, traditional Macedonian restaurant! I highly recommend coming here and trying the authentic Macedonian cuisine as it is hard to find Macedonian places like this in the area! Definitely check it out!!

The name might throw you off as the food is Eastern European, but California restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in the east end! The service and atmosphere are fantastic. The staff definitely makes you feel like family when you eat here. The food is delicious and the portions are big. They usually have live music on Saturday nights as well.

From ćevapi to pljeskavica, everything tastes just like back home.The service is always greatwith a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. And if you’re lucky enough to visit on the weekend, the live music adds an extra layer of charm and makes the evening even more enjoyable.Highly recommend this spot for anyone wanting to enjoy delicious Serbian food and a lively, friendly ambiance!

The California Restaurant & Bar is one of my absolute favourite spots in East York—a place that truly feels like home. The warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and positive energy make every visit a great experience. Their dishes are delicious, offering an authentic taste of Eastern European cuisine. If I could, I’d give this restaurant more than five stars! I highly recommend it to anyone in GTA. A must-visit!

Decided to stop here after searching for Balkan food in Toronto. The Cevapi here tastes just like it does in the Balkans, it was worth the 1 hour walk from my hotel. The restaurant was not busy when I went and I got to chat with one of the employees for a couple minutes. Definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant if you're looking for Balkan food in the Toronto area.

The BEST Food i had in Toronto.Gurmanska pljeskavica is a must,crepes are delicious,homemade bread with butter is mm so goood - service is super fast and polite and their outside seating during summer is great vibe.Pricing is really good since the meal sizing is huuuge :) hope you enjoy it as much as we did :)

First time going to this spot, recommended by my brother. Traditional Balkan food, super delicious!!! The meats were well seasoned and full of flavor and the portions were large. Will be visiting again!

I was in Toronto for a couple of days; and it was an extremely hot and humid day. I was desperately looking for a place to sit down, relax and enjoy a meal until I stumbled upon this hidden gem! The owner is a wonderful woman from Macedonia and we had amazing conversations which made me forget the heat wave! Inside was cool, the beer was fresh and rejuvenating and dishes from Eastern Europe (Serbia, Macedonia, etc.) were incomparable. Definitely the spot to check out for all Torontonians and travellers )
